Jung Woo Sung born on March 27, 1973 as the youngest of three in Seoul, South Korea. e dropped out of high school and became a full-time actor, both for TV dramas and films. He did a couple of TV series and a film, but it was beat (1997) that really made him an icon.
The 36-year-old actor stars opposite Michelle Yeoh (”Memoirs of a Geisha“) in the film which is being co-directed by Woo, the famous Hong Kong helmer of “Mission:Impossible II“, and Taiwan’s Su Chau Bin. The shooting of John Woo’s new movie “Rain of Swords“, starring South Korean heartthrob Jung Woo Sung, started Wednesday in Shanghai.
Renowned producer Terence Chang, who has partnered with Woo for big Hollywood projects such as “Face/Off”, is taking part in the movie, which he calls “`Face/Off’ meets `Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ set in the Ming Dynasty“, according to the Hollywood Reporter.”Rain of Swords” is a “wuxia” or martial arts film that follows a love affair between a retiring assassin (Yeoh) and a messenger (Jeong) whose father was killed by the assassin’s former associates.
Song Hye Gyo and Hyun Bin ( both aged 27 ) have been seeing each other since June, the agent says, extending the romance of their characters in the television drama.This relationship has attracted great attention as both stars are popular among Asian audiences.
Hyun Bin who was in Pusan filming for his drama, Friend, Our Legend not long ago, was spotted constantly calling and texting Song Hye Gyo during breaks in between filming. It was exactly this long separation which led to them discovering that they couldn’t do without each other. After filming for his drama ended, Hyun Bin returned to Seoul in June and confessed his feelings for Song Hye Gyo as they started dating.
Song and Hyun are said to be preparing for a promotion tour of “Worlds Within” in Asia. The two’s love story is already getting a lot of attention from fans across Asia, where both of them are popular.
